Tessa Thompson

The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on October 3, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter musician and singer Marc Anthony Thompson and the niece of actor-musician Bobby Ramos. She grew up with her in Los Angeles, before she was moved to Brooklyn. Her father is of Afro-Panamanian origin, and her mother from Mexican as well as British Isles origins. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she was a part of numerous theatre productions. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation and obtained a cultural anthropology degree. As part of a show at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she performed the role of Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The show's performance was a big hit and made her a NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Tessa appeared on TV for the first time in 2005. Her role was in on a CBS Series. Tessa Tessa Tessa
